Swelling packer is designed for separation of strata, isolation of interstrata flows, multistage hydraulic fracturing and other types of work during well support and operation and is used: for isolation of intervals in uncased wellbores; to isolate the water inflow zone; to ensure hermetic separation of intervals in horizontal wellbore. Swelling and sealing is achieved by contact of the elastomer with the activating fluid.
