Special wrecker with CMU modifications 3957L3 is designed for evacuation from the accident site or transport to the place of repair of defective vehicles. It is also possible to use the wrecker for transporting vehicles over medium distances. Depending on the modification it can be equipped with special broken or sliding all-metal platforms with or without hydraulic drive, load capacity from 1 to 2 tonnes. Loading of the vehicle on the platform is carried out by a crane-manipulator unit or hydraulic or electric winch. The winch is mounted on a reinforced bracket in the front part of the platform. The design of the bracket allows moving the winch in the transverse direction depending on the location of the towing hooks on the towed vehicle.Functioning of the working bodies is carried out by the PTO from the base engine of the chassis.
