Special wrecker truck with CMU modifications 395703 is designed for evacuation from the scene of an accident or transport to the place of repair of defective vehicles. It is also possible to use the wrecker for transporting vehicles over medium distances. Depending on the modification it can be equipped with special broken or sliding all-metal platforms with or without hydraulic drive, with load capacity from 1 to 2 tonnes. Loading of the vehicle on the platform is carried out by a crane-manipulator unit or hydraulic or electric winch. The winch is mounted on a reinforced bracket in the front part of the platform. The design of the bracket allows the winch to be moved transversely depending on the location of the towing hooks on the towed vehicle.The functioning of the working bodies is carried out by the PTO from the base engine of the chassis.
