During commissioning, the impedance of obviously serviceable lines is measured and the values are recorded in the memory of the unit, the control of lines is carried out by comparing the impedance value recorded in the memory of the unit with the impedance of this line at the time of measurement. If the impedance deviates from the previously recorded in the memory, the device gives a signal of faulty line and displays the cause of the fault.
