A lifejacket is designed to keep a person on the water surface for a long time due to the positive buoyancy provided by the lifejacket.
The lifejacket shall meet all the requirements for these Products defined in the Rules of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping - Chapters 6.1, 6.2 of Section 6 of Part II of the Rules for the Equipment of Sea Vessels, Chapter III of the International Convention SOLAS 74 and the International Code for Lifesaving Appliances (LSA Code), as amended and Resolution MSC.81(70), Technical Regulations on the Safety of Maritime Transport.

The life vest is used as an individual life preserver for the personnel.
