Propylene (propene) is obtained by pyrolysis of hydrocarbon raw materials and catalytic cracking of oil fractions and is intended for use in the production of polypropylene, isopropyl and butyl alcohols, acrylic acid nitrile, isopropylbenzene, propylene oxide, glycerol and other organic products. The highest grade propylene is intended for the production of polypropylene. Formula: C3H6. Relative molecular mass (according to international atomic masses 2011) - 42.08.
