Optical Cable OKGT-C-A for High Voltage Transmission and Monitoring Applications

For organisation of fibre-optic communication lines on overhead power lines with voltage 35 kV and higher; For systems of distributed temperature and acoustic monitoring (DTS, DAS) of cases of dangerous activity in the area of power lines, lightning strikes, short circuits. The cable contains a central aluminium-coated steel optical module with loosely laid fibres. The optical fibres in the module are grouped into bundles.

Each bundle of fibres is wrapped with a coloured synthetic filament. The free space in the optical module is filled with a hydrophobic gel. A single bundle of reinforcing wires is spirally applied to the central optical module.
