The newborn model with built-in vein simulation is designed to practise intravenous injection skills. Anatomically accurate model with integrated simulation of the umbilical vein and the superficial vein system of the head and neck, both arms and the right leg.
access to the following veins:
temporal vein
external jugular vein
posterior auricular vein
medial saphenous vein (v. basilica) in the right and left knobs
lateral saphenous vein (v. cephalica) on the right and left arms
saphenous vein on the right leg
hamstring vein on the right leg
the skin of the mannequin's head, arms and right leg is semi-transparent for realistic visualisation of the course of the veins.
venous tubes provide realistic sensations of the needle piercing the wall and entering the lumen.
possibility of filling the vein lumen with simulated blood
realistic blood flow into the syringe when entering a vein
removable model of the umbilical cord with the possibility of ligation and catheterisation of the umbilical vein
