Description

The kingpin, kingpin support and fifth wheel pin (FHP), is part of the articulated connection between a semi-trailer and the fifth wheel of tractor-trailers. The kingpin is installed in the front part of the semi-trailer and enters the vehicle's fifth wheel coupling, where it locks into place and ensures that the semi-trailer is held securely and can be rotated relative to the tractor.
