Description
The modular tibia prosthesis is designed to compensate for congenital and amputation defects at the level of the tibia. The prosthesis consists of: A receiving sleeve made individually from a plaster cast from the patient's residual limb, with one trial sleeve made of high-temperature thermoplastic. The material of the permanent receiving sleeve is injection moulded laminated plastic based on acrylic resins, with force elements made of carbon fibre. Polymer cover or insert sleeve made of silicone or foam material. Adjustment and connection devices. The set includes shin stump covers of different thicknesses (woollen, cotton, etc.) depending on the individual characteristics of the Recipient. The prosthesis is completed with a foot made of composite materials. Fixation of the prosthesis can be vacuum, locking, individual, with the use of ankle brace, thigh cuff or a combination of several types, if necessary.
