Model of sigmoidoscopic examination, CS6607

The model is designed to teach how to perform a sigmoidoscopic examination, While the scope is moved along the contours of the colon, the student must connect the sigmoid colon, splenic flexure and hepatic flexure before viewing the internal structure of the ascending colon and blind colon. When the sigmoidoscope is removed, the student can identify benign tumours without a pedicle, pedicles and hyperplastic polyps as well as cancerous lesions. There are a total of 12 pathological conditions to diagnose. All manipulative and photographic techniques can also be practised. The sigmoidoscopic examination trainer is attached to a solid oak board and comes complete with lubricant, teaching guide, and hard case. Size: 66cm x 48cm x 18cm.
