Microtube with anticoagulant K3EDTA for capillary

The modification "UNIVET-III-450" is a non-sterile polypropylene tube for blood collection by gravity, with a stopper cap and with anticoagulant K3EDTA applied to the hemispherical bottom and walls of the tube.The volume of blood to be drawn is 450 µl. Overall dimensions of the tube: length from 47 to 48 mm, external diameter from 12.7 to 12.9 mm. The principle of operation of the UNIVET-III microtube is based on the use of a tube with industrially applied anticoagulant, designed for a given nominal sample volume.

Blood is collected into the tube by gravity from the puncture site. The top edge of the tube is spatula-shaped to facilitate blood collection. The tapered shape of the tube and the rounded bottom of the tube facilitate the most complete utilisation of the blood sample during analysis.
