Microprocessor-Controlled Forearm Prosthesis PR2 MANIFESTO-H for Partial Limb Amputation Support

Prosthesis is designed for partial compensation of congenital or acquired injuries resulting in amputation of the upper limbs at the forearm level, including long stumps, while maintaining an active elbow joint. The prosthesis consists of two main parts: the sleeve and the hand module. The hand module has 6 independent degrees of freedom - one for each finger and active rotation of the thumb.

This makes it possible to perform freely customisable gestures and use the grips for different objects and actions with them. The prosthesis can memorise 8 different gestures. The gestures are switched and customised via a mobile app or by command from the EMG sensors.

All fingers are equipped with electromechanical control. Fingers 2 to 5 have 2 movable interlocking joints. The thumb has 1 movable joint.

The prosthesis control system provides positional control of each finger, namely flexion/extension.
