Ship diesel engine M507A-2 (2x56CHNSP16/17) according to TU24.06.5443-91, designed for installation on ships as the main engine. Full power 7355 kW (10000 hp) at crankshaft rotation speed of 2000 rpm. The direction of rotation of the power take-off flange according to GOST 22836-77 is right or left, depending on the diesel engine version. Overall dimensions , mm (length/width/height): 7000/1820/2490. Weight 17200 kg. Design features of M507A-2: consists of two diesel engines (compartments) with star-shaped arrangement of cylinder blocks. The two-stage summing reducer, depending on the modification of the M507A-2, has a gear ratio of 0.314 and 0.311 for right and left rotation respectively. The reducer ensures the operation of the diesel engine M507A-2 in forward and reverse by engaging the corresponding disc clutches, as well as operation under the single compartment (56ChN16/17).
