The life-size model of the intermediate brain is displayed in the area of the right cerebral hemisphere: all the main parts of the thalamus, hypothalamus, metathalamus, epithalamus and represented as a large tail. The hypothalamic nuclei are displayed in different colours; the thalamus is removable and divided into two parts to show the internal anatomy of the brain.
