Description
Inlet valves are designed only for completion of high-pressure heaters (HPH), they are used as elements of automatic protective device of HPH, preventing water ingress into the turbine in case of heater pipes rupture. This is achieved by shutting down and bypassing the feedwater heaters. Inlet valves are used either for switching on the group of LDPEs for regenerative heating of boiler feed water or for switching them off and bypassing water through bypasses in emergency cases of condensate overfilling of the LDPE case vapour space. Operating characteristics, material of manufacture, type of connection, control body depend on technical requirements.
