Inertial module

The inertial measuring module consists of vector sensors of angular velocity and linear acceleration, as well as electronic control circuitry rigidly mounted on a common base. The sensitivity axes of each vector sensor form the basis of the mechanical assembly of the module. This basis can be considered rectangular with small errors. A right orthogonal measuring coordinate system is associated with the module, the origin of which is called the measuring centre.
When assembling the module, the nominal directions of the sensitivity axes of the vector sensors are set co-directionally with the same axes of the measuring coordinate system. This equipment is used in topographic surveying of undeveloped terrain, city territories, long linear structures (roads and railways, overhead power lines, etc.), as well as coastal river and sea lines.
