Description

Windsock is a cone of cloth, located on the mast through a rotating mount, designed to indicate the direction and approximate speed of the wind. Used mainly in aviation, but also in chemical plants where there is a risk of gas or hazardous substance leakage. It is located on the airfield of the aerodrome, open areas, elevated areas. The meteorological wind direction corresponds to the direction opposite to that indicated by the windsock. Aeronautical wind direction corresponds to the direction indicated by the windsock.
