Functional Forearm Prosthesis PR2-R.1 for Improved Daily Living

Designed to ensure the actions of disabled people (in accordance with the level of amputation) for self-service in the home and public places and to perform some functions of the lost limb, including work requiring physical effort.

The prosthesis shall consist of a hook-gripper or working attachments, attachment of the hook-gripper (receiver to the working attachments), wrist assembly, forearm sleeve, active control elements, silicone sleeve (if medically indicated), custom-made prosthesis attachment elements. The application of the hook-gripper or working attachments is made in analogy with the manufacture of the prosthesis of the worker's hand. To ensure control of the prosthesis, there shall be a link attached to the gripping mechanism and connected to the axillary attachment loop at the level of the elbow. The forearm sleeve shall be made of laminated plastic based on bonding resins or thermoplastics, taking into account the individual characteristics of the user's residual limb.
