Controlled front axle 320425-3000012-01 connects the front wheels and serves to transfer the load from the body to the wheels through elastic elements (springs), also transfers to the body vertical, horizontal and braking forces arising in the contact patch of the tyre with the road. The front axle consists of an I-beam with platforms for mounting springs, two steering knuckles connected to the beam with kingpins, transverse steering link connecting the steering knuckles with each other through the levers of steering trapeziums. On the trunnions of the steering knuckles are installed hubs, on which the wheels rotate on bearings. Brake discs are attached to the hubs. Brakes with piston shoe release are attached to the knuckles.
