To tie fountain valves on the surface in order to connect the working strings of the valve to an oil or gas pipeline, it is tied with a special manifold. It also serves to connect to the pipe and annular spaces of the units, providing the possibility of carrying out various technological operations during the start-up and operation of the well.
Manifolds of fountain valves of ordinary oil wells consist of three or four valves, crosses, tees and some other parts. At more critical oil wells manifold consists of more valves, crosses and tees. Even more complex systems are represented by manifold valves on high-yield gas wells.
