Floating Energy Block Project 20870 for Nuclear Power Applications

The floating power unit (FPU) of project 20870 with KLT-40S reactor units is designed for operation as a part of a floating nuclear thermal power plant (FNPP) and provides in nominal mode 60 MW of electric power and up to 50 Gcal/h of thermal energy for heating of heating water to the shore networks. The PEB is designed for operation in the Far North and Far East regions. First of all, the PEB is a unique and the world's first project of a mobile transportable low-capacity power unit. Its main purpose is to provide energy to large industrial enterprises, port cities, as well as gas and oil platforms located offshore.
