Description
Diaphragm is a type of standard narrowing device (SD) made in the form of a thin disc with an orifice having a sharp rectangular (sometimes conical) edge on the inlet side of the flow. The purpose of the diaphragm is to measure the flow rate of the medium using the variable differential pressure method. DFCs are an assembly unit consisting of the diaphragm itself, two annular chambers ("plus" and "minus") of the body, a gasket and pressure sampling flanges. The chamber and flange are structurally combined in one part. They are used for nominal bore diameters less than 50 mm.
