The expansion tank is designed to equalise the thermal expansion of cooling liquids (fresh water with additives), serves to remove air from the main engine circuit, and provides sufficient static pressure for circulation pumps. The tank body material is steel s8..9. The main engine expansion tank is a double tank divided inside by a partition into two different independent parts of high-temperature and low-temperature circuits. The volume of each circuit is 550 litres. The working pressure is atmospheric. Enclosure dimensions - 1976x716x816 mm. Wall thickness - 8 mm. Hydrostatic test pressure - 0,025 MPa (25 kPa). Weight - 738 kg.
