Emergency Pressure Relief Valve KA for Safe Pressure Release in Tanks

Emergency valve KA is designed for emergency release into the atmosphere of internal overpressure from vertical cylindrical tanks with operating pressure not more than 2.0 kPa, resulting from intensive heating of the gas space of the tank from the fire of neighbouring tanks, boiling of the product inside the tank.

The emergency valve is installed in addition to the breathing valves. The tightness of the valve prevents losses from product evaporation into the atmosphere during normal accident-free operation. The contacting surfaces of the valve plate and seat are covered with fluoroplastic film preventing the mating surfaces from freezing. The valve is installed on the mounting socket on the tank roof without a fire barrier.
