Electronic Vehicle Dynamic Stability Programme ESP

The control unit of the electronic system for dynamic vehicle stabilisation (ESP®), hydraulic unit (modulator) consists of an electronic control unit and a hydraulic unit (modulator) as an actuator, not for military use. The control unit of the electronic vehicle dynamic stabilisation system (ESP®), hydraulic unit (modulator) is designed to prevent the vehicle from skidding and sidesliding. During high-speed manoeuvring, the vehicle may skid uncontrollably. In such a skid, the braking pressure automatically increases on the right or left front wheel (depending on the direction of the turn), which is detected by the ESP® hydraulic unit sensors, causing the ESP® control unit to send a signal to slow down the corresponding wheel.
