Digital Electro-Pneumatic Positioner Izirum Type 500 for Precise Control Applications

Digital electropneumatic positioner is a special device designed for positioning of pneumatic membrane or piston actuators (hereinafter referred to as IM) of shut-off and control valves due to pressure redistribution between pneumatic circuits. As a command signal a standard electrical analogue signal in the range of 4-20 mA is used, fed to an electronic control board with a programmable microcontroller. By incorporating IM stem position feedback into its operating algorithm, the digital electropneumatic positioner reduces or completely removes the stroke mismatch from the control task.
