Cosmetic Hand Prosthesis for Aesthetic Restoration after Partial Amputation

Designed to replace the lost aesthetic parameters of the upper limb (according to the level of amputation). The prosthesis shall consist of a cosmetic hand or a passive artificial hand with a cosmetic shell. The cosmetic hand is a 1.5 ± 0.3 mm thick mould-forming cosmetic shell (glove), made of PVC materials or silicone, filled with a foam-silicone composition or medical silicone for tight fixation of the residual limb when fitting the prosthesis.

In addition to silicone fillers, the fingers of the artificial hand contain, and the fingers of the mould-forming shell may contain a wire frame, allowing their installation in the required position (installation is carried out passively, with the healthy hand of the user). Modified models of the prosthesis can be made with or without an extended cosmetic shell (cuff), with fastening of the cosmetic shell with a "zip" fastener, lacing or textile "contact" fastener.
