The above-water part of the boom consists of five cylindrical floating parts filled with polystyrene foam. The booms are made of wear-resistant reinforced material covered with petrochemical-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC). A ballast chain is placed in the lower part of the boom web, which ensures the vertical position of the boom and bears the main load during towing.

For strength, the chain pocket is reinforced with a second layer. The booms do not absorb water and oil products. The booms are manufactured by high frequency current welding.
