Comprehensive Air Purification Unit for GTU GTE-170 for Optimal Performance

The complex air cleaning device is designed to provide clean air supply to GTU, prevent premature wear of axial compressor of gas turbine and increase the period of GTU parameters maintenance at high level of efficiency. Air streams pass through filter blocks, where they are filtered and then enter the compressor.As a result, the following requirements to the air intake system are fulfilled:purification of atmospheric air entering the GTU axial compressor up to the required characteristics;air heating in case of icing threat;reduction of sound (noise) level spreading from the GTU compressor to the environment up to sanitary norms;closing of the air intake path to prevent accelerated GTU cooling during shutdowns;prevention of penetration of extraneous substances into the air intake system;prevention of the gas turbine axial compressor in the process of shutdowns.
