The material is used for endodontic treatment of infected tooth canals, for temporary filling of canals in granulating and granulomatous periodontitis, in order to disinfect the canals, maintain a highly alkaline environment in them at pH 11 - 12 units. Therapeutic pad for the formation of secondary dentin in deep caries. Iodoform enhances the antiseptic effect of the drug.
