BTR-17M Brake Resistor Block for Energy Conversion in Trolleybuses

The block of braking resistors BTR-17M is designed to convert the electrical energy of the traction drive in the braking mode, as well as when operating in the "Strelka" mode into thermal energy on trolleybuses. The principle of operation of the product is based on the use of a resistive tape made of corrosion-resistant steel, forming a block of braking resistors, as an element that dampens the braking energy of trolleybus motors and dissipates it in the form of heat.
