Brush Contact Apparatus Power Distribution System "SOLO" for Electric Machines

The current distribution system (CDS) is an integral part of any brush contact apparatus (BCA) of an electrical machine. It provides current from the stationary current carrying parts of the field circuits to the rotating field winding of an electric machine by means of a sliding contact. The use of SOLO brush holders allows safe removal of any brush for maintenance or replacement with opening of the electrical circuit for each brush, which increases the convenience and safety of maintenance. Insulation of the brush holder cage eliminates alternative current paths other than the brush contact wire. The equipment is manufactured to order. The geometrical dimensions of the crosshead and the number of SOLO brush holders installed on it can be varied according to the customer's specifications.
