Bioceramic Implants Silico-Calcium-Phosphate "BKS" for Bone Tissue Repair

designed for the replacement of congenital and acquired bone defects in maxillofacial surgery, dental surgery and traumatology. It is effective in surgical treatment of: - traumas, - cysts, - endochondromas, - dissecting osteochondritis of the medial femoral condyle (König's disease), - tuberculosis of metaepiphyseal areas of joints. The composition of bioceramics "BKS" includes bone minerals - hydroxyapatite and ?-tricalcium phosphate of synthetic origin. Cellular-channel hydrophilic pore structure of the material, with predominantly open porosity up to 63 % provides its fast wetting and soaking with the patient's blood during surgery or, if necessary, with antibiotic solutions. Biocompatibility and osteoconductivity of bioceramics "BKS" provides optimal conditions for the development of the osteogenesis process on the surface of the implanted material.
