GKS-100 belt grinding machine is designed for centreless grinding and polishing of round workpieces with diameter from 10 to 150 mm and length from 300 mm in the medium of coolant (lubricating and cooling liquid). The workpiece material can be aluminium and its alloys, copper-based non-ferrous metals, ferrous steels, stainless steels and other materials subjected to grinding with endless grinding belts. Surface roughness is achieved by using belts with different grits as well as Scotch-Brite polishing belts of all types. To achieve a mirror-like surface, it is necessary to use an abrasive-free belt with a polishing paste of the required grit. As grinding takes place in a coolant environment, the belt material and workpiece must be suitable for use in a coolant environment. The housing and main parts of the machine are made of steel and painted with high quality paint, which provides protection against environmental influences.
