It is used as an obstacle in 100m and 400m track and field athletics, as well as a device for passing the GTO standards, developing speed and strength qualities, and developing jumping ability.

It is a prefabricated construction consisting of a barrier bar, counterweight leg and height locks. The counterweight leg of the barrier is made of a metal profile 25x25mm. The barrier strip is fixed on movable legs made of 25x25mm metal profile.

The length and weight of the barrier legs are selected as counterweights, which prevents the barrier from tipping over if the athlete lightly touches it. The bar is made of multilayer moisture-resistant birch plywood 12mm.
