They are made individually from a plaster cast. The contact sleeve is made of either thermoplastics or acrylic resins.It is used in the period of rehabilitation for the treatment of fractures of the tibial and femoral condyles, after operations on the ligamentous apparatus of the knee joint, the consequences of various injuries with phenomena of instability or signs of contracture in the joint, and is also indicated for patients with rheumatoid and other arthritis, osteoarthritis of the knee joint, weakness or atrophy of the thigh muscles of various etiologies.
