A backplane with integrated SAS expander for connecting up to 24 SAS/SATA 3.0 SAS/SATA 2.5-inch SFF 2.5-inch form factor drives to a computer CPU using a SAS 3.0 bus controller (HBA or HBA RAID) via 4-12 SAS 3.0 lines. The board can be used in 19-inch form factor devices with a height of 2RU.
