Active Forearm Prosthesis PR2-A.1 for Self-Care and Aesthetic Functions

Designed to ensure the actions of disabled people (according to the level of amputation) for self-care in the home and public places, as well as to compensate for cosmetic defects.

The prosthesis must consist of a mechanical hand, cosmetic shell, wrist assembly, forearm sleeve, active control elements, silicone sleeve (if medically indicated), and custom-made prosthesis attachment elements. The application of the mechanical hand, cosmetic sheath, wrist assembly is performed similarly to the production of the active hand prosthesis. To ensure control of the prosthesis (active opening of the fingers of the hand) there should be a pull rod attached to the grip mechanism and connected to the axillary attachment loop at the level of the elbow. The forearm sleeve shall be made of laminated plastic based on bonding resins or thermoplastics, according to the plaster positive, taking into account the individual characteristics of the user's residual limb.
