6H09B Polycentric Knee Module for Swimming Prosthesis

Knee module 6H09B is designed for the fabrication of hip prostheses for bathing patients with low to medium activity. It has an additional locking device, which allows walking on the prosthesis in polycentric knee module mode, i.e. with functional shortening in the transfer phase, and taking water procedures in locking mode.

The module is used in bathing hip prostheses in above-knee amputations, including after hip dislocation. The kinematics of the module allows achieving functional shortening of the prosthesis in the transfer phase during walking. The knee module has an adjustable ankle release.

All mechanisms of the knee module are corrosion-protected and allow water procedures in both fresh and sea water. Material: aluminium alloy.
