The tractor equipped with a turnover plough reaches the edge of the plot, makes a turnover of the plough and passes the plot with the second set of working tools. This saves fuel - the tractor does not have to make idle runs.
The conventional plough leaves behind pile ridges and split furrows, while the rotary plough leaves behind a levelled surface. Smooth ploughing increases yields and makes it easier to work later when combines and mowers are in the field.
