Russian factories (Askona, Ormatek, Promtex-Orient) produce pocket-spring (TFK/S2000), bonnell-spring, hybrid latex-spring, full-foam (HR PU foam), memory foam and natural-latex mattresses. For MENA and LatAm tropics we recommend pocket-spring with HR-foam (better ventilation) or natural Talalay latex with bamboo/Tencel ticking — they dissipate heat 30–40% better than memory foam.
•Are Russian mattresses certified to CertiPUR-US, Oeko-Tex 100 or EU REACH?
Yes — major exporters hold Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I (baby-safe), CertiPUR-US for PU foam, and REACH SVHC declarations. FR-treated versions meet 16 CFR 1633 (US federal flammability) on request. Certification adds ~5% to FOB cost; certificates are issued by Intertek Moscow or SGS Russia.
•How are mattresses packed for container shipment — roll-pack or flat?
Foam and hybrid mattresses up to 28 cm height are vacuum roll-packed (compressed 80%, cylinder 40×40×190 cm) — 280–340 units per 40'HQ. Pocket-spring mattresses >28 cm ship flat (60–90 units per 40'HQ). Roll-pack reduces freight cost 3–4× and is industry standard for e-commerce.
•What is the MOQ for OEM mattresses with my brand?
MOQ for branded private-label: 100 units per SKU (single size) or 200 mixed sizes per order. For full custom (proprietary core construction, exclusive ticking, custom firmness) — MOQ 500 units. Lead time 35–55 days. Branded woven labels, hangtags, EAN-13 barcodes, custom carton printing included.
•How many mattresses fit in a 40'HQ container by size?
Roll-pack (queen/king all sizes): 280–340 cartons. Flat-pack queen (152×203 cm): 70–80. Flat-pack king (180×200): 55–65. Bed bases knock-down: 60–80 per 40'HQ. Mixed loads (mattress + base + pillow) typically yield 50–60 full sleep sets per container.
•Do suppliers offer adjustable bed bases compatible with US/EU dimensions?
Yes — Ormatek and Askona OEM divisions produce adjustable bases in Twin XL (39×80), Queen split (2×30×80), Cal King split, EU standards 90×200/140×200/180×200. Motors are OKIN (German licensed) or Limoss. CE/FCC certification on request, 24V DC compliant with US 110V and EU 230V transformers.
•What payment terms and trade-assurance are available?
T/T 30% deposit + 70% against B/L copy. L/C at sight from $50k order. Tonzar Trade Assurance escrow available for first 3 shipments — 1% fee, full refund if quality fails third-party inspection (SGS/Intertek). For repeat buyers — D/A 60 days after 3 successful shipments.
