Ships of RSD59 project according to the classification adopted by the Bureau belong to the Volgo-Don Max class and have the maximum possible dimensions for VDSC.
Vessels of the series can be used for transportation of general, bulk, containerised, timber, grain and bulky cargoes, dangerous goods of classes 1.4S, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, 9 RID and Annex B of the BC Code in the Caspian Sea, as well as in the Mediterranean, Black, Baltic, White, North Seas, including voyages around Europe and to the Irish Sea in winter.The new dry cargo project RSD59, which is made in "ultra-hollow" outline with two dry cargo holds, one of which has a record length for "Volgo-Don Max".
