The modernised turbine is an oval three-cylinder unit consisting of a DDC with loop steam movement, a CSD consisting of medium and low pressure parts and a two-stream CND. The DDC steam distribution is nozzle-type, consisting of one stop valve (SC VD) and two control valves (RC VD) combined in two valve blocks. VD SC and VD RC are of unloaded type. The flow section of the DDC consists of a regulating stage and 19 reactive pressure stages.
The working vanes of all stages of the DDC, except for the regulating stage, are made using profiles of variable cross-section. The UA rotor is one-piece forged. The flow section of the DDC consists of the 12th stage of the medium pressure part and is made with diaphragms of welded construction. The ND rotor is one-piece forged.
There is a system of moisture removal of the last stage of ND. High efficiency and reliability of steam turbines are ensured by: -aerodynamic experimental tests of blades confirming their reliability and efficiency.
