Items related to firearms accessories, certain inspection electronics and pyrotechnic training aids may require export permits and an end-user certificate from your organization. Suppliers determine this at inquiry stage — state your country and end use honestly to avoid delays.
•How sensitive are the walk-through metal detector frames, and can settings be adjusted?
Multi-zone frames typically offer adjustable sensitivity per zone, allowing operators to screen for weapons while ignoring keys and coins. Models differ in zone count and discrimination ability — describe your checkpoint scenario (school, stadium, courthouse) and throughput, and suppliers will recommend an appropriate model with the detection standard it meets.
•Can tactical vests and gear be produced in our colors with our insignia?
Yes. Sewing factories handle custom colorways, camouflage patterns, embroidery and patches from moderate volumes — typically 100–300 units per model. You provide color references or fabric samples and insignia artwork. Sampling takes 2–4 weeks before the production run; total lead time for a customized batch is usually 45–60 days.
•What do K9 training aids include and are scent materials safe to import?
K9 equipment covers harnesses, leads, bite sleeves and suits, agility items, and scent training aids using safe simulants rather than real target substances. Simulant-based aids generally clear customs as ordinary goods, but rules differ by country — request the safety data sheet and composition declaration from the supplier and check with your customs broker.
•What lead times apply for X-ray inspection systems?
Baggage and parcel X-ray scanners are typically built to order in 60–90 days, as each unit involves radiation-generating components with their own conformity paperwork. Installation requires a local radiation-safety permit in most countries; manufacturers supply the radiation survey data and shielding documentation your regulator will ask for. Plan the permit in parallel with manufacturing.
