The model is designed to study the anatomy of temporal bone. The model consists of 3 parts: skull base, cranial part of temporal bone, auditory and vestibular apparatus, derived from CT data, emphasises the complex anatomy of the temporal bone including bony ossicles, canals, chambers, openings and air spaces. In addition, the spatial relationships between the temporal bone and other structures of otological significance, i.e., the carotid artery, dural sinuses of the dura mater, associated nerves, and dura mater are indicated.
