Description

Flow preparation devices (FPD) are designed to stabilise the flow of the measured medium upstream the narrowing device (SD) by reducing or completely eliminating swirls in order to meet the requirements of GOST 8.586.(1-5)-2005 and other standards for measuring sections of the pipeline (IT) when installing the SD. Application of the PSU allows to reduce the length of IT sections upstream of the flow transmitter.
A jet straightener is a PSD that eliminates or significantly reduces swirls, but does not provide elimination of axisymmetric or asymmetric deformations of the flow velocity epyure. The SPT consists of a bundle of parallel and touching tubes mounted in the IT.
