Diaphragm is a type of standard narrowing device (SD) made in the form of a thin disc with an orifice having a sharp rectangular (sometimes conical) edge on the inlet side of the flow. The purpose of the diaphragm is to measure the flow rate of the medium using the variable differential pressure method.
DCS is an assembly unit consisting of the diaphragm itself, two annular chambers ("plus" and "minus") of the body, gasket and pressure sampling connections. The medium pressure extraction into the DCS annular chamber housings is performed through the annular slit.
