Gates are designed for operation in technological systems of chemical water treatment shops of TPPs, TPPs, GRES and boiler houses on lines transporting aggressive and non-aggressive media, except crystallising and polymerising media, as well as enterprises transporting food products.
In gates, the locking or regulating element has the form of a disc rotating around an axis perpendicular or located at an angle to the direction of flow of the working medium. Gate valves are most often used for large pipeline diameters, low media pressures and reduced requirements to tightness of the working body, mainly as shut-off valves.
The closing element, i.e. the gate, can block the passage of the working medium through the annular seat in the body by rotating (usually by 90°) the gate around the axis perpendicular to the direction of the medium flow, while the axis of rotation of the disc can be its own axis (axial disc gates) or not coincide with the axis (eccentric disc...).
