The Akmobil underwater robot is designed to solve the tasks of:
- marine seismic survey and seismoacoustic monitoring of shelf hydrocarbon fields under ice cover by means of automatic deployment and collapse of bottom seismic slopes;
- deployment of an area-based system of bottom seismic slides using a set of Akmobil modules united on a common basing platform; and
a common base platform;
- use as a means of delivery of cable systems during construction and repair of underwater facilities;
- visual and acoustic monitoring of underwater structures;
- carrying out underwater technical works with the use of additional attachments.
The use of Akmobile allows to significantly increase the efficiency of geological exploration on the Arctic shelf compared to single bottom stations.
The use of the robot in the construction of underwater production complexes and other oil and gas facilities is promising.
